A proper drain for a vessel sink is just as important as the sink itself. There are two popular types of vessel sink drains which are pop up drains and grid drains. A pop up drain for a vessel sink can be open or closed simply be pressing the top of the drain mechanism up or down this type of drain enables you to fill the sink with water but remember there is no overflow on most vessel sinks or these drains. The other type of commonly found drain for a vessel sink is a grid drain which most resembles a shower strainer. A grid drain can not be closed and thus an overflow of water can not occur.
